As-built surveying

An as-built survey records what was actually built, in position and level, so it can be compared with the design and handed over. YAZ Development produces as-built surveys and drawings for projects in Riyadh and across Saudi Arabia, with laser scanning where detail demands it.

When you need it

  • Handover documentation
  • Checking work against design
  • Updating drawings after changes on site

How an as-built survey runs

  1. Agree what is to be recorded and the format
  2. Measure with total stations, GNSS or laser scanning
  3. Compare with design where required
  4. Issue drawings and a survey report

What you receive

As-built drawings in CAD, coordinates and levels of recorded elements, deviation checks where requested, and a survey report.

Common questions

What is an as-built survey?

It is a survey that measures completed work and shows its real position and levels, so it can be compared with the design and used for handover.

Can laser scanning be used for as-built surveys?

Yes. For complex or detailed work YAZ uses laser scanning to capture the as-built condition as a point cloud.
