High-rise and structural surveying

High-rise surveying controls the position and verticality of a tall structure as it rises. YAZ Development provided surveying workforce and construction surveying support for Jeddah Tower and supports structural surveying on large projects in Saudi Arabia.

When you need it

  • Core and column positioning at each level
  • Verticality checks as the structure rises
  • Facade and structural element setting-out
  • Control transfer between levels

How high-rise surveying works

  1. Establish a stable ground control network
  2. Transfer control up the structure
  3. Set out and check each level
  4. Record verticality and as-built position

What you receive

Level-by-level setting-out records, verticality and as-built reports, and updated control values.

Instruments we use

Teams work with Leica and Trimble total stations and GNSS receivers, and with Hi-Target GNSS equipment supplied through YAZ, the exclusive Hi-Target agent in Saudi Arabia.

Common questions

What was YAZ’s role on Jeddah Tower?

YAZ provided surveying workforce and construction surveying support for the super-tall tower.

Why is verticality surveying important?

On tall structures small deviations accumulate with height, so positions and plumb are checked at each stage.
